STONY BROOK, NY — The Long Island Museum's Art Museum and History Museum in Stony Brook is offering "Three Village Thursdays," giving all residents of the Three Village School District free admission every Thursday through 2026.
Sarah Abruzzi, co-executive director, operations, at The Long Island Museum, noted the museum has offered the gift of free admission to the community in the past, and staffers are "thrilled to
be able to give back to our Three Village friends and neighbors by welcoming them here to
explore our exciting new exhibitions, free of charge, every Thursday."
“Our 2026 exhibitions truly offer something for people of all ages, from the students and families who we know will be captivated and entertained by our Video Game exhibitions, to local history buffs eager for the opportunity to view more than 100 rare artifacts surrounding Long Island and the American Revolution in our exhibition commemorating this year’s semiquincentennial,” added Joshua Ruff, the museum co-executive director of collections and programming.
The 9-acre campus features an art museum, a history museum, and a renowned carriage museum, as well as sprawling grounds filled with art installations, a fountain garden, and historic buildings, including a one-room schoolhouse that has been visited by local students of the Three Village School
District for decades.
