MAKE YOUR MARK-A Community Tile Wall Project
Join Gallery North on Sunday, September 18th 2pm-4pm for our Open House. We will be continuing our Make Your Mark Community Tile Project.
Gallery North invites children, adults, families and professional artists to create their own 6” stoneware tile. All tiles will be fired and mounted permanently on the Tile Wall of the Community Art Center.
The process starts with a rolled out slab of moist red clay. Tiles are cut, dried, and bisque fired for glaze application.
Be inspired to MAKE YOUR MARK for the community wall. You can get started with your tile designs using 6” paper squares during this first session! Workshops will be offered to all participants to help develop your designs during the upcoming weeks. For years to come you can bring friends and family to revisit the memory of your participation!
