Making 'News' With Murphy’s School Musical
Talented student-actors recently took to the stage to bring the Broadway classic "Newsies" to life.
THREE VILLAGE, NY - From Three Village Central School District: R.C. Murphy Junior High School talented student-actors recently took to the stage to bring the Broadway classic “Newsies” to life. Before packed audiences, including a complimentary performance for district sixth-graders and senior citizens, the students told the tale of how the New York Newsboys went on strike in 1899, seeking fare wages for their work. The talent of the performers was evident from the opening number and audiences were enthralled by the students on stage throughout the musical.
