The man threatened the employee with what looked like a handgun.

CENTEREACH, NY — A man wearing a Halloween mask robbed a Centereach gas station early Tuesday morning, and Suffolk County detectives are investigating.
The man, wearing a devil-inspired red mask with horns, entered OK Petroleum, located at 2117 Middle Country Road, around 3:10 a.m., police said. He then displayed what appeared to be a handgun and told an employee to open the register and lie on the ground, police said. The man took cash from the register and cigarettes before running off, police said.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
