Man Knocked Unconscious After Getting Thrown Out Of Bar: Police

The 24-year-old, who police say was drunk, got into two fights, one inside and one outside a LI bar. One of them didn't end well.

STONY BROOK, NY – A 24-year-old man was hospitalized after being knocked unconscious outside a Long Island bar.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. last Friday in Stony Brook, according to Suffolk Police.

Police say a drunk man was thrown out of The Bench Bar & Grill on North Country Road for getting into a fight.

"Then when he’s outside, he gets into another fight with different people and one of them punched him and knocked him unconscious," a police spokesperson told Patch.

The man, who is from Shoreham, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Police did not release his name.
