Man Robs Centereach Bank

BREAKING: The robber is described as a very thin man with a buzzcut.

CENTEREACH, NY – Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Centereach Wednesday afternoon. According to police, the man entered the Capital One Bank located at 2100 Middle Country Road at about 3:25 p.m., displayed a note and verbally demanded money.

The teller complied with the man’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer. The man then fled the bank on foot.

The robber was described as white, in his mid-to-late 20s, around 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, with a very thin build and a buzzcut. He was wearing a black and gray hooded-sweatshirt, black baggy pants, a black baseball cap and wool fingerless gloves, police said.
