Man Steals Wallet From Home Depot Counter [Video]

Police are asking for the public's help to find the thief and a reward is being offered for info leading to an arrest.

SOUTH SETAUKET, NY – Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who they say stole a wallet at a Home Depot earlier this month.

According to Suffolk Police, a man left his wallet on a counter at the Home Depot located at 255 Pond Path in South Setauket and then another customer (pictured above and seen in the video below) took the wallet, which contained credit cards and money. The man who took the wallet then left the store, police say.

It happened around 1 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
