Fourth and fifth grade students competed in the third annual Suffolk Zone Fit Club Competition.

From Syntax: Minnesauke Elementary School fourth and fifth grade students competed in the third annual Suffolk Zone Fit Club Competition hosted at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School in the Sayville School District.
Students were carefully selected based on their physical fitness level, leadership skills, sportsmanship and positive attitude. They competed in two fitness events during the competition. The first was a timed relay that included 40 sit-ups, 30 shoulder taps, 15 agility jumps over a hurdle and a bear crawl. The second was a relay where students had 10 minutes to do as many reps as possible of certain exercises, including box jumps, tire flip, jump roping and crab walking.
Minnesauke was one of 31 teams to compete in the event.
