From the Three Village Central School District: As the result of his professionalism, dedication and commitment, R.C. Murphy Junior High School Principal Vincent Vizzo has been selected to receive the Junior High School Principal of the Year Award by the Council of Administrators and Supervisors.
“As the principal of Murphy Junior High School, Mr. Vizzo has built and cultivated a school culture full of care, warmth, kindness, compassion, respect, and most importantly unity,” said Kevin Finnerty, Ward Melville High School assistant principal, former assistant principal at Murphy and one of the individuals who helped present the award to Mr. Vizzo. “He is a leader who is supportive of others, empowers others to achieve common goals and is willing to unlock people’s potential to help them become better. He has worked relentlessly over the years to improve students’ needs academically, socially and emotionally.”
Each year, the Council of Administrators and Supervisors recognizes a number of highly skilled school administrators from Nassau and Suffolk counties with an Administrator of the Year award. CAS represents more than 1,400 administrators in 77 school districts across Long Island.
