Selden, N.Y. (January 2020)—Aspiring artists from Newfield High School (NHS) in Selden recently traveled to the Brooklyn Museum for a private tour, prior to it’s opening to the general public. Guided by museum educators, Newfield’s Advanced Art students had the opportunity to appreciate African American art and discuss the cultural context as well as artistic styles of selected work.
