NY Parents Petition Against Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine for Kids

Parents in NY are petitioning against mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for their children amid yesterday's FDA recommendation of emergency use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11. During the vote on October 26th, 2021, FDA advisor, Eric Rubin said, “we’re never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it.” (https://www.washingtonpost.com...) This statement is alarming for many parents who are concerned that this vaccine may become mandatory for their children to attend school and this petition may provide them the opportunity to have their voices heard.

In late September NY Governor Kathy Hochul said, "We cannot do anything to endanger our children," she said. "It's like putting your kids in a car on a busy highway with no seat belt, or sending out a young, inexperienced driver, and saying 'Good luck.' Keeping them unvaccinated in a global pandemic is something I can't fathom as a parent. "Vaccinations, she said, are akin to seat belts, bike helmets, and car seats.
