Pair Caught With Forged Credit Cards, Credit Card Encoder in Setauket
They were arrested after a traffic stop early Friday morning, police say.
Two men were arrested for possessing forged credit cards and a credit card encoder early Friday in Setauket, police said.
According to police, Sixth Precinct officers Jon-Erik Negron and Jennifer Mackey initiated a traffic stop after a vehicle went through a red light at Old Town Road and Sheep Pasture Road in Setauket at about 3 a.m.
During the traffic stop, the officers noticed a bag of marijuana on the rear seat and further investigation revealed the license plate on the vehicle was fake, and the pair were in possession of four forged credit cards and a credit card encoder, police said.

Identification Theft Unit and Sixth Squad detectives charged Olisa Uzoegwu, 20, of Elizabeth, N.J., with four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of a forgery Device, false personation and unlicensed driver. Chidubem Adi, 19, of Port Jefferson, was charged with second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, unauthorized possession of marijuana and false personation.
Both men were being held at the Sixth Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
