Photography by LI Native Keith Krejci
There's still time to see the December Art Exhibit, photography by Keith Krejci, at Emma Clark Library.

Stop by Emma Clark Library for the month of December to view photography by Keith Krejci, a Long Island native who has taught at Stony Brook University. His breathtaking photographs display our local area.
When asked to explain his particular approach to photography, Keith Krejci quotes the great Edward Weston, who said, “Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not necessarily searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.”
His photographs have appeared in many Stony Brook University publications, as well as The New York Times Sunday Edition. His images have appeared in many group exhibitions and juried shows, including Gallery North in Setauket, The Mill Pond House in St. James and Bellport Art gallery. In past years Keith’s photographs have won numerous awards as mentioned above one of them recently in the Stony Brook University Hospital juried competition for which he received first place. Keith has taught adult education, Black and White photography at the Stony Brook University. He was a past member of the Paumanok Camera Club and the North Shore Art Guild. His work has recently been accepted by Getty Images and included in their catalogue.

Being a native of Long Island has given Keith the opportunity to photograph some of the most pristine scenery. He found out over the years from traveling around the world that you don’t have to travel very far to find interesting subjects, most of them can be found right in your own backyard.
