Police Seek Help to Find Stony Brook Vacuum Thief

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole a vacuum cleaner from a store in Stony Brook in August.

Police say the man pictured above entered Lowe’s Home Improvement, located at 2150 Nesconset Highway, on Aug. 23 around 3:50 p.m. and stole a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

The man is described as a white male with a medium build. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a white T-shirt, blue shorts and white sneakers.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
