Police Seeking Man Who Stole Electronics From Setauket Walmart

The man fled on foot after he was approached by a store employee, police say.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the man who stole electronics from a Setauket store last month.

A man entered Walmart on 3990 Nesconset Highway, placed over $600 worth of electronics in a cart and left the store without paying on May 31 at 1:25 p.m., police said.

When confronted in the parking lot by a store employee, the man fled the scene on foot and the items was recovered, according to police.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
