Police Seeking Walmart Thief; Reward Offered For Info
He took merchandise off shelves and then returned it using old receipts, police say.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole merchandise from a Walmart store in July.
According to police, the man pictured above entered the Walmart located at 3990 Nesconset Highway in Setauket on July 7 and took about $50 worth of merchandise off the shelves and then returned it using old receipts.
The man then left the store before returning a short time later. He then placed various items in a shopping bag and fled the store without paying.

The man is described as heavyset, 40 to 50 years old, mustache, wearing tan cargo shorts and a baseball cap.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
