From Three Village Schools: As a result of their artistic and literary talents, P.J. Gelinas Junior High School’s ninth-graders Natalia Chou and Jacqueline Wu, eighth-grader Ava Della Pietra and seventh-grader Alanna Wu have been named school winners in this year’s PTSA reflections contest.
These students submitted creative work interpreting the theme "Heroes Around Me" for consideration in the annual awards program. Selected as school winters, their entries have now been submitted to the Suffolk Region PTA for judging and consideration for the state and national levels of the competition.
For the past 50 years, the National PTA has coordinated the reflections program to enable students to “explore their thoughts, feelings and ideas.” As part of the contest, the students are invited to create and submit original works of art in one or more of these categories: dance choreography, film, literature, music
