Ride for Life Comes to Three Village
Students helped to support and raise awareness for research in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
From Three Village Central School District: Three Village Central School District’s secondary schools helped to support and raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, research by supporting this year’s Ride for Life.
As the Ride began its journey from Eastern Long Island to the Brooklyn Bridge, they visited each of the district’s secondary school buildings to thank the students and staff for their unwavering support of this worthy cause.
At Ward Melville High School, the riders were met with cheers from students in clubs such as Key Club, S.A.L.T. and HOSA. Many students fashioned posters and signs of support for the riders.

ALS Ride for Life is an annual event organized by founder Chris Pendergast. It brings ALS suffers, caregivers and supporters together on a trek via motorized wheelchairs from the East End of Long Island to the New York City area.
