Setauket Fire Department to Hold Open House Oct. 17

Event will be held at Station #3.

As part of Fire Prevention month, the Setauket Fire Department will host its annual open house on Friday, Oct. 17, welcoming community members for a hands-on experience and tour of the fire station.

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., adults and children will have the opportunity to explore the fire equipment, as well as take part in several demonstrations by firefighters. Members of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to photograph and fingerprint children as part of Operation Safe Child, and a Suffolk County K9 arson dog will be present to demonstrate his skills. Additionally, Safety Town representatives will present bike safety tips for families and children.

All community members are welcome to attend. The event takes place at Station #3 on Nicolls Road in Setauket.
