'Shooting' for Top Grades at Arrowhead
Students attend recent assembly program with the New York Islanders.

Arrowhead Elementary School students focused on the importance of working together and remaining dedicated to their academics during a recent assembly program with the New York Islanders.
During the event, representatives from the Islanders and mascot Sparky the Dragon spoke to the importance of teamwork and how students, teachers and school staff members can work together to accomplish a goal. To further demonstrate this concept, several students were challenged to work in a group to try and dress in head-to-toe goalie gear, while a teacher worked to accomplish the task alone.
The assembly also included a video of the current team members relaying what traits make a good teammate, the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and remaining bully-free.
