It is being hosted in connection with Plug In America, Sierra Club and Electric Auto Association in recognition of National Drive Electric Week, a celebration to heighten awareness and benefits of plug-in hybrid and all-electric cars, trucks and motorcycles.

“There is a great deal of enthusiasm for the drive electric movement so we are pleased to offer this interactive event at Smith Haven Mall for drivers and fans of this automotive technology,” commented Ann M. “LI Sierra Club is happy to team up with Electric Auto Association and Plug in America for our 4th Annual Electric car event, this year at Smith Haven Mall,” commented Ann I. Aurelio, Vice Chair of Sierra Club LI Group. “Electric cars are low maintenance, due to very few moving parts. Best of all, since electric cars need neither gasoline nor oil, there is no smell out of the tailpipe and no messy oil to change. Drivers will experience a clean, quiet sound of a car that is good for the pocketbook as well as the air you breathe.”
