Stony Brook Professor With Jeffrey Epstein Connection Resigns, Says The Connection Is Unrelated: Report
It's because he does not have regular teaching duties at the school, he told Newsday.

STONY BROOK, NY — A Stony Brook University dental school professor, who received funding from the notorious celebrity sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, who killed himself while awaiting trial, resigned earlier this month but said it had nothing to do with the connection, Newsday reported.
In a phone interview on Tuesday, Ira B. Lamster told the outlet the move was because he did not have regular teaching duties at the school, and that it was unrelated to recent media coverage about Epstein.
Contact information could not be located for Lamster.

A Stony Brook University spokesperson told Patch that while it is the administration's "practice not to comment on personnel matters, this person is no longer a member of the faculty."
"We find no record of any financial transaction related to this," the spokesperson said.

In December, U.S. Justice Department began releasing thousands of files from its Epstein investigation, including nearly two decades of an examination into his sexual abuse of young women and underage girls, The Associated Press reported.
Since then, the records have exposed Epstein's friends and contacts across the country, including people in high places and with notable careers.
