The student lives on campus, but has only been taking online courses. The person was asymptomatic, according to the university. Those who came in contact with the student were notified and informed of what steps they need to take.

Students were reminded of the SBU COVID-19 Dashboard, which will act as a tracker for updates on cases, positivity rates, and capacity for isolation and quarantine. The university will not notify the campus of every person who tests positive for the coronavirus; the dashboard will be updated weekly.
