Over 70 Students from Suffolk County participated in the 10th Annual Suffolk Piano Teachers Foundation Competition over the final weekend of March, 2015. It took place at both Steinway Gallery, and Faust Harrison pianos in Melville

“These Students ranged in age from 4 through 18 years old, but what they had in common was a love for piano, a willingness to practice, and prepare one piece to perform before judges. Every year the quality of playing goes higher and higher and we owe that to the parents of the students and their teachers”

-Ellen Johansen, Competition Chairperson.

The judges were Dr. Marjean Olson, Nelson Ojeda, Lim Kim, and Dr. Stephanie Watts, all artists and teachers from the metropolitan area.

The Honors Recitals featuring the winners will take place on Thursday June 4th at 5:00 pm, and 7:30 pm at Staller Center Recital Hall, Stony Brook University. Awards and Medals will be presented between the recitals at a ceremony held at 6:00 pm.
