The annual contest calls for artists to create pieces using the hexagon as a metaphor for interdependence and interconnectedness. The students were encouraged to create submissions that helped to promote global citizenship and civic literacy. Samantha’s project won in the diversity theme category, Chiara won in the COVID-19 theme category and Dua in the interdependence theme category.

The students created their projects under the guidance and tutelage of Minnesauke art teacher Christine Sacco last spring. All were honored during a virtual zoom ceremony in mid-September.
