- Real estate entrepreneur, Virginia Antionette O'Dwyer, dies at 91. O'Dwyer was the founder of Virginia A. O'Dwyer Real Estate in Stony Brook. The family is asking for donations in her memory to the Hope House in Port Jefferson. (TBR News Media)
- Hooray to Three Village School District students Abigail Matheisen and Addison Scott for being awarded in the Hexagon Project. Their artwork will be displayed in Scranton, Pennsylvania. A recognition event will be held on Sept. 11. The project requires students to create artwork using a hexagonal sheet and explore social themes in the school community.
