SETAUKET, NY —Several pre-kindergarten classes at Arrowhead, Minnesauke and Nassakeag elementary schools recently joined together to complete a community service project to help with the koala rescue and rehab efforts in Australia, the Three Village Central School District announced.The students completed chores at home to earn quarters for each completed activity. Then in class, they explained what they did to earn the quarter. The initiative, which the classes called "Quarters for Koalas," raised a total of $147.
