Three Village residents approved the school district’s $188.1 million proposed budget Tuesday by a margin of 2326-843.
The budget calls for a 1.91 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.27 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state's tax cap. The average homeowner in the district will pay about an additional $130 in school taxes next year.
There were no contested school board elections this year. Incumbents Inger Germano, Irene Gische and Jeffrey Kerman all ran unopposed and were re-elected.
