Upcycling materials to invent new projects
W.S. Mount Elementary students helped to demonstrate the familiar saying of "one man's trash is another person's treasure,"

From Three Village Schools: W.S. Mount Elementary School third grade students helped to demonstrate the familiar saying of “one man’s trash is another person’s treasure” when they creatively invented a variety of projects using recycled materials.
From paper towel rolls, plastic water bottles, discarded wood and a multitude of other materials, the students created such projects as a piggy bank out of milk jugs, a basketball net out of a plant container and even a mailbox using a detergent container and various other items. The classes proudly displayed their completed projects in a hallway museum andwrote a descriptive overview of their project to best explain their piece.
