Ward Melville DECA Members Head To Nationals

From Three Village Central School: Three Village Central School District’s Ward Melville High School DECA club had a remarkable performance at this year’s New York State competition and, as a result of their placement, 11 students have qualified to compete in the national contest in Atlanta, Georgia this April.

The national qualifiers include:

Kelsey Ge – 1 st Place – Restaurant and Food Service Management
Elizabeth Wang – 2nd Place – Quick Service Restaurant Management
Anna Ma & Eileen Whelan – 2nd Place – Hospitality Services Team
Jay Sangwan & Kathryn Zhao – 2nd Place – Financial Services Team
Ari Solomon – 3rd Place – Business Service Management
Suraj Singh – 3rd Place – Automotive Services Marketing
William Jin & Diego Bennett – 4th Place – Independent Business Plan Team
Varsha Talanki – 4th Place – Marketing Communications Series

Additionally, the following students placed in the top 10 in their events in

New York State:

Jade Eggleston – Retail Merchandising
Jonathan Huang – Principles of Finance
Priya Mukhi – Hotel and Lodging Management
Ashley Zhang – Principles of Hospitality and Tourism

Dara Berman and Katie Zhao – Marketing Management Team Decision Making
