Ward Melville High School’s Future Business Leaders of America team, advised by business teachers Alyssa Gold and Carol Vonnes, had a remarkably successful season and most recently competed at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Rochester, N.Y.
Over three days, the students competed in various business events focused on different elements of the business world. With more than 600 students in attendance, Ward Melville’s students brought home 25 awards, which was the second highest amount won in the state.
As a result of their performance at the state competition, at least 18 team members have secured spots to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., in June.
