Ward Melville Students Win National Merit Scholarships
Scholarship winners were chosen out of more than 15,000 finalists based on their academic accomplishments.

Five Ward Melville High School students have been named National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation made the announcement on Wednesday.
Ward Melvllie seniors Kritl Jindal, Eric Wang, Gary Ge, Ramya Roa and John Welde III were selected out of more than 15,000 finalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program based on their academic accomplishments.

The Ward Melville students and about 7,600 finalists will be given the title of “Merit Scholar.” NMSC plans to award nearly $34 million in college scholarships by the end of the 2015 program.
All scholars may use their $2,500 award at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.

A total of 16 Ward Melville students, more than any other school in Suffolk County, were named semifinalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.
