Youth Event, Saturday, 2 May - 1775 and the American Revolution
Learn about Long Islanders preparing in 1775 for the possibility of the British leaving Boston for New York
Come out and learn about life on Long Island in 1775 and see 18th Century trades demonstrated. Make a stamped leather neckerchief slide, pendant or key ring, learn about food rations for the soldiers on the battlefield, practice muster line drills, try on some colonial clothing and perhaps hear a story. Boy and Girl Scouts encouraged to wear uniforms. Snack and an awesome patch with $7.00 registration fee. All faiths welcome!!
