• UB social work researchers partner with local agency to test innovative addiction recovery program (buffalo.edu) — Two University at Buffalo social work researchers just secured a $200,000 state grant to test a new way of weaving "recovery capital" into addiction treatment plans at Horizon Health Services. Their UB-developed assessment tool will train local clinicians to better support housing, relationships, and other real-life resources that help Western New Yorkers sustain recovery from substance use disorders.
   

• Highmark, Buffalo Bills Foundation unveil Victory Table initiative (wivb.com) — A new Victory Table food truck backed by the Bills and Highmark will soon bring free hot meals and wellness resources to underserved Western New York neighborhoods, guided by research from the University at Buffalo's Food Lab. Organizers say UB's data will help target communities with the greatest need as the truck begins rolling out in the coming weeks.

Her recognition, tied to the Niagara Frontier AIAA section, showcases UB's growing role in cutting-edge space research and student mentorship that reaches from Buffalo to national programs.
