Man Dies After Slipping on Icy Upper East Side Street: Police
The man slipped on ice while walking on East 73rd Street near 2nd Avenue.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An elderly man died after slipping on an icy Upper East Side sidewalk Sunday afternoon, police told Patch.
The man, who has not been identified, tripped and fell while walking on East 73rd Street near 2nd Avenue around noon, police told Patch. First responders discovered the man unconscious and unresponsive and rushed him to New York Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Daily News reported that the man was 75-years-old, but an NYPD spokesman could not confirm that detail with Patch.
