Where to watch, how to get around, and more.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Rain or shine, the annual Israel Day on Fifth Avenue is back on the Upper East Side this Sunday, kicking off at 11:30 a.m. and running until 4 p.m.

This year's parade starts at East 62nd Street and ends at East 74th Street, event organizers say.

The parade will have thousands of participants and onlookers, live music and floats, organizers say.

The event is organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, which has run it since 2011, according to its website, but the parade itself is more than 60 years old.

To watch the parade, organizers say spectators must pass through metal detectors first, and people with backpacks, large bags, umbrellas, lawn chairs, coolers, and drones will not be permitted.

Spectators can watch the parade by entering 61st, 63rd, 66th, 70th and 73rd Streets from Madison Avenue, organizers said.

The parade will be broadcast on Fox's My9 and livestreamed on the parade's website beginning at 12 p.m.
