UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — International tea chain heytea is bringing a new concept to the Upper East Side, choosing the neighborhood for its first-ever "tea bar" location outside of China.
The new shop, on East 86th Street near Lexington Avenue, officially opens June 5 and introduces a slower-paced, tea-focused experience distinct from the brand’s typical high-traffic café model.
The Upper East Side tea bar will feature a menu of more than 30 beverages and treats centered on premium tea offerings, including pure brewed teas, tea ice cream and a new category of drinks called "Teamix," which blends tea with flavor profiles inspired by craft cocktails.
Among the menu items debuting are drinks like King Jasmine Guava Pear and Mountain Oolong Yuzu Apple, according to the company.
The concept is designed to highlight the character and preparation of tea itself, with a more intentional, sit-down atmosphere than the company’s standard format.
The new shop will be located at 126 East 86th St.
