Woman Groped On UES Subway During Morning Commute: NYPD

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman was groped aboard a 4 train as it approached an Upper East Side subway station during the morning rush, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on May 19 as the train neared the 59 Street-Lexington Avenue station, heading downtown, police said.

A 25-year-old woman told police that a man forcibly touched her body multiple times while she was riding the train. The suspect fled and is at large, authorities said.

Police said they are searching for the perpetrator and have released a surveillance photo of the suspect.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
