Motorcyclist Killed In UES Crash, Police Say

Police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made yet.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Upper East Side, New York City Police Department officials said Tuesday.

On Monday at 11:57 p.m., the 48-year-old man was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle on FDR Drive at East 74th Street when the motorcycle struck the center curbline, throwing the man onto the pavement, NYPD officials said.

Then, a 53-year-old man driving a Cadillac Escalade heading uptown on FDR Drive hit the motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cadillac driver remained on scene.

There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.

The identity of the victim is being kept private until his family is properly notified.
