UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — As frozen yogurt makes a comeback across the city, a new shop with Greek-inspired flavors is opening on the Upper East Side this Friday.

Mythos, opening at First Avenue and East 68th Street, puts a Mediterranean spin on the frozen treat with toppings including baklava, honey, olive oil, pomegranate and fig.

The shop marks the brand's first New York City location and joins a growing number of dessert spots catering to neighborhood residents looking for a sweet treat. The menu also features toppings like chocolate and granola.

"After months of dreaming, designing, sourcing, building, tasting, and perfecting every detail, we're finally almost ready to welcome you," the brand said in an Instagram post announcing the opening.

Unlike the sugary frozen yogurt that dominated the early 2000s, Mythos' product centers on the tangy flavor profile of traditional Greek yogurt. According to the company, its frozen yogurt is made with premium milk and probiotic cultures.

"Made with premium milk and rich probiotic cultures, it is crafted to energize you rather than weigh you down, fitting naturally into an active lifestyle shaped by sunshine, movement and outdoor living," Mythos said on its website.

Ahead of Friday's opening, the company has shared glimpses of the space on social media, including a playful Greek statue holding a bowl of frozen yogurt, while inviting neighbors to stop by and sample its offerings.

The froyo shop is taking over a storefront last occupied by Mr. Bee Convenience.

Mythos is located at 1269 First Ave.
