UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are searching for a burglar after an MTA booth was broken into on the Upper East Side early Thursday, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the burglar broke into the MTA booth at 3:45 a.m. inside the East 86th Street 4/5/6 subway station.
Police told Patch that when the 42-year-old woman returned to her booth, she found the protective glass had been broken into, and her purse and MTA-issued iPad missing.
Police said they are searching for a perpetrator, but that no arrests have been made yet. The investigation is underway, police said.
