UES Restaurant Shuttered By Health Department, Records Show

The Kosher Mediterranean restaurant was ordered closed after inspectors found multiple food-safety hazards.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — City officials have ordered a neighborhood restaurant on Lexington Avenue and East 82nd Street to close for racking up 70 violation points during a health inspection, records show.

Grill Point, a Kosher Mediterranean restaurant located at 1215 Lexington Ave., was ordered to close on Aug. 20 after inspectors reported roaches, flies, and improper food safety controls, according to publicly available city records.
