UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man on a bicycle was injured in a car crash on Friday afternoon in Yorkville, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the crash unfolded at 2:04 p.m. on Friday at the corner of East 92nd Street and Second Avenue.
Police are still determining what led up to the crash, but said that the cyclist and a driver in a grey Subaru crashed at the intersection, according to preliminary information.
The impact from the crash threw the cyclist off his bicycle and into the street. A video posted to Citizen shows pedestrians redirecting traffic and helping the man, who was lying on the ground.
Medics rushed the cyclist to NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, with an elbow injury.
