Columbus Day Parade Closes Upper East Side Streets Monday: What To Know

The 82nd annual parade runs along Fifth Avenue from East 44th to East 72nd streets, with additional closures nearby.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The annual Columbus Day Parade returns to the Upper East Side on Monday, bringing with it a celebration of Italian culture and several street closures.

The 82nd annual parade will begin at 11 a.m. and will go through 5th Avenue from East 44th to East 72nd streets, according to organizers at the Columbus Citizens Foundation.

The parade will start after a Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, located at 50th Street and Fifth Avenue, at 9:30 a.m.

The red carpet-grandstand area will be between East 67th and East 69th streets, right near the Columbus Citizens Foundation's Upper East Side townhouse headquarters, on East 69th Street.

The parade is expected to end at about 3:30 p.m.
