UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The annual Hispanic Heritage Parade returns to the Upper East Side on Sunday, bringing with it a celebration of Spanish and Latin American culture and several street closures.
The annual parade will begin at noon and will march up 5th Avenue from East 43rd to East 66th streets, and will last about four hours, according to organizers.
The parade will be held on Oct. 11 to coincide with Hispanic Heritage Month, which is celebrated between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15.
At the parade, representatives of each of the Spanish-speaking countries will march in colorful costumes and carry flags. The rest of the parade goes in alphabetical order, beginning with Argentina and ending with Venezuela, according to NYC Parade Life.
