UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Cotton On, an Australian-based clothing store with an outpost in SoHo, is opening a massive new store on the Upper East Side.
The new store will open in the heart of Lenox Hill at 1149 Third Ave. on the corner of East 67th Street, according to CBRE's quarterly report.
The new shop, which spans nearly 6,600 square feet, will open in what used to be a Nike store.
Cotton On, which sells casual wear, denim and other basics, first opened in Geelong, Australia, in 1991.
The company describes the brand as a global fashion and lifestyle retailer with an identity inspired by Australia's laid-back lifestyle.
The new Cotton On location is one of the most notable recent leases signed, along with T.J. Maxx and Happier Grocery, both of which will open on East 86th Street near Third Avenue.
No word on an opening timeline for Cotton On yet.
