Chelsea Art Gallery Moving to Temporary Upper East Side Space

The Robert Miller Gallery in Chelsea is moving works from its Chelsea Gallery to a showroom at the late dealer's Upper East Side home.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — World-class art is making its way from Chelsea to the Upper East Side for a short period of time.

The Robert Miller Gallery, located on West 26th Street, is setting up a private showroom in the late art dealer's former Upper East Side home after closing its Chelsea gallery after 15 years, reported ARTnews. The showroom, which will be accessible by appointment only, will be housed within a two-story home located at 120 East End Avenue near East 85th Street.

But Upper East Siders will only have a short window of opportunity to catch a glimpse of the contemporary art collection. The gallery is both searching for a permanent location and selling Miller's Upper East Side home. The house went on the market in 2015 and is listed at $18 million, reported ARTnews.
