About GlamourGals Gives Carter Burden Seniors Manicures and Makeovers
Volunteers from GlamourGals visited the Carter Burden Network’s headquarters office located on the Upper East Side on Friday, May 4, 2018. GlamourGals organizes student-led chapters in high schools and colleges across the country to provide ongoing companionship and complimentary beauty makeovers to seniors. During their most recent visit to the Carter Burden Network, volunteers gave manicures and makeovers to seniors while they enjoyed refreshments and exchanged personal stories. These personal visits help bridge the generation gap between young students and seniors.
Carter Burden Network promotes the well-being of seniors 60 and older through a continuum of services, advocacy, arts and culture and volunteer programs, all oriented to individual, family and community needs. The organization is dedicated to supporting the efforts of older people to live safely and with dignity.
