Elizabeth R. Varet of the Upper East Side Recognized at UJA Event
Varet recognized at New York Lions Lunch for her leadership and service to the community

Upper East Side resident Elizabeth R. Varet received the Phyllis V. Tishman Memorial Award for her leadership and dedicated service to the community at UJA-Federation of New York’s Annual New York Lions Lunch on November 7, 2017, at The Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
Nearly 400 women attended the event, which also recognized Kara N. Friedman of Central Park West. Bret Stephens, op-ed columnist at The New York Times, gave the keynote address.
In New York, a woman who gives a gift of $6,000 or more, individually or as a family, to UJA-Federation’s annual campaign is recognized as a Lion.
