UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An Upper East Side townhouse is getting a temporary Italian makeover next month.
From May 12 to May 15, the Italian Trade Agency will turn its 33 East 67th St. space into a pop-up dubbed "Italy on Madison," bringing a rotating mix of fashion, design, food and beauty brands under one roof.
Instead of a typical showroom, organizers are pitching the event as something closer to a walk-through experience — with different rooms dedicated to everything from Italian interiors to espresso and aperitivo culture. Visitors can expect a mix of live demos, tastings and hands-on workshops spread throughout the townhouse.

"Italy on Madison is more than a showcase; it is a sensory journey into the soul of Italian excellence," Erica Di Giovancarlo, the trade commissioner's executive director, said.
The pop-up will feature more than 100 Italian brands across six categories, including fashion, eyewear, accessories, beauty and food and wine.

Some rooms will focus on styling and apparel, while others highlight furniture and interiors, with installations led by Italian designer Paola Navone.
Food and drink are also part of the draw, with scheduled tastings and chef-led demonstrations planned throughout the run.
"As we launch this fourth edition, our goal is to transform the Italian Trade Agency into a vibrant hub where New York’s creative and business communities can experience the seamless blend of heritage, innovation, and craftsmanship that defines the 'Made in Italy' brand," Giovancarlo said.
A full lineup of programming and participating brands is expected to be released closer to the opening.
